of eTrac Calyx Interface

The eTrac Calyx Interface allows mortgage originators who use Calyx ® software to order through the eTrac Appraisal Network. This free system reduces data entry and faxing typically associated with ordering appraisals. The interface directly connects you to thousands of appraisers nationwide at the touch of a button.
If you are an appraiser with a client using Point ® and you wish to have them order electronically instead of via fax, feel free to forward them this document or even go to their office to assist them in getting set up. Likewise, if you are a mortgage lender, you may wish to contact your appraisers and find out if they are already using the eTrac Office Manager product so you can expedite the appraisal ordering process by directly sending orders to your appraisers instead of faxing.
To use this interface it is required that the appraisal companies authorize the mortgage originators to send them orders electronically. This is done through the appraisal company’s eTrac Office Manager Interface. Once you are authorized you will be able to select the appraisal company from the pick list.
This document explains the setup and appraisal ordering process for a Calyx Point end-user. There are two sections:
• Part I covers setting up of the eTrac Calyx Interface
• Part II walks you through placing an order
These instructions assume that the end user is already familiar with the basic operation of the Calyx Software.

Part I: Installing the eTrac Calyx Interface
Following these simple steps will allow you to install the eTrac Calyx Interface





(Typically in folder C:\PNTTEMPL\DATAEXP)

7. Once the file has been saved to the DATAEXP folder it will be available under the Export Templates.

Part II: Placing an order with eTrac
Calyx Interface
There are 2 requirements to place an order using the eTrac Interface.
The following steps will walk you through the process of ordering an appraisal through the eTrac Calyx Interface. It will assume that you know how to navigate the Calyx Software and an appraisal company has already authorized you to order.
Once you have started a file in Calyx Point, ensure that you have entered all of the necessary prospect information, such as the borrower and property address.

2. Select the eTrac Export Template (etrac.exp) and Click “Open”

3. The next screen you will see is our eTrac Calyx Interface web site.

4. If you have already created a profile simply logon by just entering your email address and password and clicking the Logon button (Skip to Step 9).
5. If you have not yet created an account click the New User Registration link.
6. To register for a free account it is required that you
complete all the fields below. The email address you enter must match the
profile that the appraisal companies have on file that you wish to do business
with. After entering the information
click the Register button. 
7. You will receive a confirmation of you registration via email which includes the details of your account registration. At this point you should close the web site and launch the interface again to ensure your data will be transferred automatically. Just follow the direction starting from Step 1.

8. After Logging on the system you will be presented with a screen that displays a list of appraisal companies that you are setup with. Choose the company that you wish to send the order and click the Next button.

It is possible that may you receive an error message notifying you that you are not authorized to send orders to any companies electronically. If this occurs please contact the appraisal company that you are attempting to send orders and verify they have you on file in their eTrac Office Manager system. You are required to be in their system as a “Client User”. If you are in their system verify that they have you setup to allow Calyx orders under your profile and your email address matches.

9. The appraisal company order form will be displayed with all the pertinent information already transferred from Calyx. This will include the borrower, property address, property financials, and contact information. The only selection you are required to make is the type of appraisal you require. To do this just select the Report Type dropdown and choose a report you desire from the available list.

10. Complete any remaining information needed on the order form.
11. Review the completed order form for accuracy and click the Save button. You will automatically receive a confirmation of your order via email. That’s it, you’re all done, no printing or faxing necessary.
